Liverpool Watersports Centre have secured the funding needed to get a Wheelyboat – A wheelchair accessible boat.
Liverpool Watersports Centre have been fundraising for the Wheelyboat for over a year, so that the activities at the centre are accessible to people with disabilities.
The Wheelyboat was fundraised for in partnership with the Wheelyboat Trust and received support from a variety of sources including:
- Sports England
- Support from Charitable Trusts and Foundations including the Lord Leverhulme Charitable Trust, Boshier Hinton Foundation, Brian Wilson Charitable Trust, Charles Brotherton Trust
- Customers at the Liverpool Watersports Centre raising money and attending fundraising events
- Wheelyboat Just Giving Campaign
- Payroll giving from Local Solutions Staff
A huge thank you to everyone mentioned above and everyone else who was involved in making the Wheelyboat dream a reality.
